Major League Baseball Player. For eight seasons (1963 to 1970), he was a pitcher with the Chicago White Sox, Kansas City Athletics, New York Yankees, Seattle Pilots and Oakland Athletics. Born Frederick Lealand Talbot, he was raised in Virginia where he attended Fairfax High School. Signed by the White Sox as an amateur free agent in 1959, he marked his Major League debut with them on September 28th, 1963. While with Kansas City, he recorded 10 wins and the follow season (1966), Talbot produced a career-high 11 victories as he split playing time with the Athletics and Yankees. From 1965 to 1969, he was a teammate of Jim Bouton and was mentioned multiple times in his successful book "Ball Four" (1970). In 195 regular season games, he complied a 38 win 56 loss record with a 4.12 lifetime ERA in 853 innings pitched. After retiring from baseball, Talbot returned to Virginia were he worked in the private sector.
