Funeral Mass will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at old St. Mary's Catholic Church for Mrs. Julia Walsh, who died Wednesday at 9 p.m. at her home, 208 S. Fillmore St. She was 90 years old.
Daughter of Thomas and Johannah Halley Manion, she was born Dec. 20, 1874 in Hamel Township. Her husband, Martin Walsh, died April 27, 1948. Also preceding her in death were four brothers and four sisters.
Survivors are one son, Elmer F. of Edwardsville; a brother, Edward Manion of Webster Groves, Mo., and one sister, Mrs. Esther O'Neil of Indianapolis, Ind.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Friday at Lesley Marks Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. The Rev. Louis Elbow will officiate at the final rites. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
