NELL FRANKLIN

MARSHALL - Nell Cantrell Franklin, "Miss Nell," 94, of
N.C. 212, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002. She
accepted Christ at an early age and shared God's
love with everyone she met, taught and mothered.
She was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church in
Madison County. Miss Nell taught school for 43
years in Madison County. Nell was preceded in
death by her husband, Talmage Franklin. She is
survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby
Dean "Bob" and Vivian Franklin; grandchildren,
Bobby Franklin and wife, Cathy, Beth Justice and
husband, Jeff, Shawn Tino and wife, Susan, and
Brandon Franklin; great- grandchildren, Tori and
Tristan Franklin, Levi and Hannah Justice, Lauren
Tino and Tyler McCamey; foster son, Clarence
Cutshall and wife, Betty, and their children, Pam,
Darla and Kevin Cutshall. Betty was Miss Nell's
caregiver for eight years. She was the daughter of
Mary Cantrell and was also preceded in death by her
sisters, Seldra Pool, Bessie Gentry, Selmer Tweed,
Muncie Franklin and Millie Rambo; brothers, Authur
and Worley Cantrell and Josephus Norton; and
several nieces and nephews. The family will receive
friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bowman Funeral
Home in Marshall. The funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Chapel Hill Baptist
Church with the Rev. Raymond Cantrell officiating.
Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorials
may be made to Chapel Hill Baptist Church, Chape
