Anna Augusta Behnke, 90, of 319 Cleveland St., Brillion, died Friday, May 24, 1991 at Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein.
Funeral services were at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion. Rev. Bruce Becker officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery.

She was born July 3, 1900 in Reedsville, daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Bergmann Bubolz. She married Melvin Behnke, Sept. 28, 1922 in Reedsville. She was employed at Brillion Iron Works, Barnard Hotel, General Merchandise Company, Bill Scharbarth’s IGA, and the Fair Store, Schneider Hotel and the Ariens Company. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Brillion and Ladies Aide. She was past president of the Sewing Circle and was Centennial Queen for Brillion in 1987.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin, two sons, and daughters-in-law, Melroy and Joyce Behnke of South Milwaukee, Herbert and Doris Behnke of Brillion; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, four sisters and a brother.
