Mrs. Carolyn E. "Boogie" Crewey, 86, a resident of High Point, formerly of Houston, TX, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013

She was born on September 6, 1926, in Surry County, NC to the late Thomas L. Jacobs and Minnie Ford Jacobs. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband; M/Sgt Giles W. Crewey, her son; Michael J. Crewey, 2 brothers, and 5 sisters.

She is survived by her brother; Plato "Jake" Jacobs of Winston-Salem, NC, a niece; Peggy Christy of the home, and a number of other nieces and nephews. Also surviving are 3 special great nieces who helped with her care: Anne Cashwell and her husband Wes, Kim Christy, and Penny Clark and her special caregiver; Joan Hammonds.

No services will be held and she will be interred at a later date, beside her husband in Houston National Cemetery, in Houston, TX. Memorials in Carolyn's memory may be made to: Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
