Helen Boyd Moffitt, 98, formerly of Falling Waters, died Friday at the Colton Villa Nursing Home.
She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Dietrick [sic-Dietrich] of Lancaster, Pa.
She leaves a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Moffitt of Falling Waters, three grandchildren, John L. Moffitt and Lyne [sic-Lynne] F. Moffitt, both of Falling Waters, and Judith A. Moffitt of Virginia Beach; two great grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Professor Emeritus Earl L. Moffitt; a son, John Samuel Moffitt, M.D.; two sisters.
Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
Arrangements are by the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
