Alvin A. Keil 1912-2003
Alvin A. Keil, 90, of Great Bend, died March 2 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Great Bend.

He was born March 8, 1912, at Galatia, the son of Conrad and Mary Steinert Keil. He married Alberta Buchheister Nov. 5, 1939, at Plainville.

A resident of Great Bend since 1952, coming from Otis, he was a lineman with Central Electric Company, retiring in 1977.

Keil was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Great Bend.

Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Albert Keil of Pittsburg; two daughters, Cheryl Wesley of Great Bend and Jolene Morgan of Valdez, Alaska; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ben Keil, Seigmund Keil, Emanuel Keil and Edwin Keil; and three sisters, Elma Brack, Rubena Keil and Phoebe Brack.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend with the Rev. Shannon Vogelzang officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery north of Great Bend. Memorials are suggested to the church building fund, in care of the funeral home.
