Pansy Mae Davis, 86, of Olivet Mountain Road, Greeneville, died Saturday at Life Care Center of Greeneville.

Mrs. Davis was a "loving" homemaker and the widow of Ross Eugene Davis, her husband of 59 years who died Dec. 16, 2000. She was a daughter of the late John and Martha Gentry Southerland.

She was a member of Cedar Creek Church of God and the Sunshine Class of the church.

Her family states, "She was a loving mother and 'mamaw,' and always had a kind word to say for everybody."

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Royce and Brenda Davis of Greeneville; four daughters and sons-in-law: Charlene and James Tweed, Judy and Bobby Solomon, Mitzie and Don McMillan, and Vickie and Lanny Neas, all of Greeneville; her grandchildren: Randy Davis and his wife, Marie, Mike Davis and his wife, Sandy, Jamie D. Tweed, Julie Kinser and her husband, Kevin, and Amanda McMillan, all of Greeneville, and Dennis Solomon and his wife, Marianne, of Knoxville; her great-grandchildren: Cyerra Davis, Tyanna Davis, Hanna Davis, Chloe Kinser, and Katherine Mae Kinser, all of Greeneville, and Abigail Solomon of Knoxville; one brother: Earnest Southerland; and two sisters-in-law: Juanita Davis and Emma Dean Shelton.

The family received friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday and will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock this evening in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Brice Casey will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 10:30 Tuesday morning in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Family and friends will meet at 9:30 at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Her grandchildren will be pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Sunshine Class of Cedar Creek Church of God, her friends and caregivers: Patricia Baughard, Shelby Fox Hinkle, Dusty Marshall, Nancy Wheatley, Jessie Goddard, Sue Barrett, Marlene Humphreys, Myra Barrick, Laura Abbott, Jenny Luttrell, Dr. William Hamilton, Dr. Richard Aasheim, and the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville.
