He retired from the Central Dauphin School District, was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, attended Manada Gap Full Gospel Mission Church and was a member of the Derry Twp. Senior Citizens.
Surviving are his wife, Marie E. Struckmyre Hoover; two sons, Robert A. Hoover IV of Harrisburg and Scott A. Hoover of Palmyra; a daughter, Pamela M. Foreman of Hummelstown; five sisters, Bertha I. Koons of Linglestown, Annie E. Speraw of Elizabethtown, Esther E. Hernley of Lebanon, Marian R. Robinson of Palmyra and Caroline L. Sellers of Jonesboro, Ga.; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
