He was born on December 12, 1931 in Alexandria, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson.
Ronald graduated from Anderson High School and served his country for four years in the Air Force as a staff Sergeant during the Korean War and received two bronze stars, good conduct and national defense united service medal.
He is a retired Masonry Contractor of 40 years.
He was a member of Blue Lodge #681, Murat Temple Shrine, Indianapolis Scottish Rite, President of Madison County Shrine Club, past member of the parade unit (Desert Patrol), President of the Brentwood P.T.O., District Commissioner of Boy Scouts, on the Vestry board of church for two years
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Bookout, mother, Olive Abendroth, and father, Cletus Bookout.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00pm Friday, January 18, 2013 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana.
Services will be at 4:00pm on Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes with military rites by the Anderson VFW Post 266.
Cremation & Burial of Ashes will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospital Hospice or the Madison County Humane Society.
