Mr. Royals was born in Horry County, a son of the late Joseph Royals and Lera Harrelson Royals. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Royals was a loving husband of 55 years, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed salt water fishing and card games. Mr. Royals loved going to Mt. Vernon Grocery and spending time with friends. He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Laverne Royals.
Surviving are his wife, Estalee Todd Royals of Conway; two daughters, Tammy Tyler and Kelly Hardee (Roger) all of Conway; two brothers, Brooks Royals (Rose) of Columbia and Joe Royals of Gaston, SC; three sisters, Joann McDuffie (Arthur) of Columbia, Mary Holmes (Lloyd) of Lexington and Martha McFarland (Jimmy) of Laurens; five grandchildren, Derrick Tyler (Brooke),Colby Hardee, Hunter Hardee, Haisen Hardee and Nicole Alford; two step grandchildren, Ashley Hardee (Jill) and Heather Hardee; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Tyler, Kayden Alford, Bladen Hardee; four step great grandchildren, Jaidyn Hardee, Ember Hardee, Easton Hardee and Amber Strickland.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Mack Hutson and Rev. Roger Chestnut officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
