Bernice "Penny" Greenwood Allendorf, 87, of Wallingford, died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at her home. She was the beloved wife of Irving L. "Skip" Allendorf Jr. She was born in Meriden, August 3, 1924, a daughter of the late James F. and Anna Rath Greenwood. She had been employed at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft until her retirement. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Roberta Allendorf of New York; her brother-in-law, Robert Allendorf of Meriden; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services and interment in In Memoriam Cemetery will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford.
