Lonnie Keith Myers, known as Keith, 56, of 1637 Old Mountain Road, got his heavenly wings on Sunday, January 13, 2013.
He was born in Iredell County November 15, 1956, son of the late William Lewis Myers and Martha Jane Nash Myers. He was a truck driver for Heritage Propane and on November 19, 1976, he married Debra Jean Pestlin Myers, who survives.
Also surviving are daughters; Alicia Cline and husband David of Reidsville and Laura Raynor and husband Ryan of Denver and a sister Kay Sherrill and husband Frank of Statesville. Two grandchildren are surviving; Addison Kay Cline and Casey Keith Cline.
Keith was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where he enjoyed his Sunday School class. He also liked going out to eat with family and friends. He was a sports fanatic; particularly being a Carolina Tarheels fan. He enjoyed coaching his daughters' softball teams and playing men's softball as well as being a Dale Earnhardt fan.
Services celebrating Keith's life are scheduled for Wednesday, January 16th at Beulah Baptist Church at 3:30pm, with Revs. Robert Garrett, Henry Cook and Allen Roberts officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour. Burial is to follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Till Babb, Craig Nash, Tommy Lampley, Darrell Walden, Ken Lundy, Ernie Pope, Tom Hurd and Charlie Doss.
