Rodney was born in Sheridan, Maine, March 24, 1936, a son of the late Simon Richard and Celina Theriault Richard. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed by the Stanley Judd Co. in Wallingford for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by his sister Eva Voisine and her husband Lawrence of Plantsville, and his brother Stanley Richard of Southington; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters and brothers David Richard, Viola Pasternak, Beatrice DiBiase, Al Richard, Vitale Richard, Floyd Richard and Marie Chasse.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Tuesday, July 17, from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. A funeral service will be held in The Wallingford Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Interment with military honors in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown will be private.
