OBITUARY

Owen P. Beardslee, Starrucca, Pa., died Sunday, Sept. 30, 1979 at the Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, Pa.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel Beardslee, at home; one son, Robert Beardslee of Binghamton, N.Y.; one daughter, Eloise Jane Johnson of Denver, Colo.; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

For over 50 years, he was employed by the Erie Railroad as a station agent and later was employed as an insurance agent for the Skier Agency of Honesdale.

He was a member of Starrucca Baptist Church, 50 years member of the Masonic Lodge, Susquehanna, Pa., and treasurer of Starrucca Boro for 37 years.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Starrucca Baptist Church with the Rev. William Niemeyer, officiating. Burial will be in the Starrucca Cemetery.

Friends may call at the McCawley Funeral Home, Jackson Avenue, Susquehanna, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
