Mr. William A. Butler of Plainfield, one of the oldest citizens of Dodge County, died Sunday of the infirmities of old age, he being 86 years old.

Funeral services were conducted at Orphans Church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. O. A. Grant and Rev. R. G. P. McKinnon. A program of songs was rendered by a quartet composed of O. V. Lashley, H. L. Manley, Ben Giddens and Cap Giddens with Mrs. H. F. Garrett at the piano. The following served as pallbearers: Joe Gattlin, B. R. Stuckey, J. W. Bramblett, John A. Harrell, W. I. Stuckey and Frank White. Interment was in Orphans Cemetery with Masonic honors.

He is survived by the following children: Mrs. J. M. McGlohorn, Baxley; J. A. Butler, Eastman; R. V. Butler, Plainfield; J. E. Butler, Eastman; G. B. Butler, Mrs. W. W. Taylor and E. S. Butler, Atlanta; Mrs. E. J. Stuckey, Plainfield.
