Dale Lorraine Free Weaver, 66, resident of Wetumpka for 15 years died peacefully on January 12, 2013. Mrs. Weaver was formerly from Montgomery. She is preceded in death by her soulmate, Otis Dalton Weaver; parents, Harriet S. and Weldon R. Free; one sister, Mary Lynn Free.
Survivors include one sister, Bonnie Free Weaver (Ray); 4 children, Jeanne Lee(Jeff), Roger Weaver (Angela), Kimberly Parson and Karen Wilson (Langston); 2 cherished step-daughters, Debbie Milburn (Jim) and Denise LeRoy (Jim); 12 grandchildren, Shannon, Chelsea, Dillon, Dalton, Kayla, Christopher, Amanda, Clint, Sara, Rachel, Kristen and Matthew; 9 great-grandchildren, Brayden, Abigail, Ashton, Hannah, Lilly, Jacob, Heidi, Gracie and Brandon; 5 beloved pets, Bridgette, Mr. Tucker, Princess, Buddy and Pepper.
She retired from the Retirement Systems of Alabama with 39 years of service. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 17, 2013, 2 p.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel with Pastor David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 5-7 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Dillon Burkes, Christopher Wilson, Daniel Robinson, James Weaver, Chad Claybrook and Randy Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Brown and Bill Lee.
