Mrs. Julia Buhrman, 99, formerly of Highland, who had for the past five years made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Linda Herman, 200 East Magnolia street, Edwardsville, died of infirmities at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph hospital, Highland, where she had been a patient for some time.
She was born Nov. 23, 1859 near Highland, and until coming to Edwardsville had lived all her life in that vicinity. She was a daughter of the late George and Marie Hurleman Accola. Her husband, John Buhrman of Marine, to whom she was married in 1885, died March 17, 1931.
Survivors in addition to the daughter here are another daughter, Miss Olivia Buhrman, St. Louis; a son, E.C. Buhrman of Mansfield, O.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at the Lesley Marks funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday until 2 p.m. Saturday when the Rev. John P. Emig, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will conduct the last rites at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the cemetery at Marine.
