Mrs Marguerite Chandler Cayot, 85, of 16400 Ridgeview Road, Olathe, died Monday at the Olathe Community Hospital. She was a lifelong area resident. Mrs Cayot graduated in 1925 with an art degree from the University of Kansas and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She was a member of the Athenaeum Club. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Winnie Chandler. Mr Chandler was superintendent of Swope Park from 1906 to 1909. He was the first merchant on the Country Club Plaza and owned the Chandler Landscape and Floral Co. He died in 1963. She leaves her husband, C. Eugene Cayot, Sr of the home; two sons, C. Eugene Cayot, Jr., Olathe, and Richard Chandler Cayot, Des Moines, Iowa; a brother, Edwin R Chandler, Kerrville, Texas; and four grandchildren. Her body was donated to the University of Kansas Medical Center. Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm Wednesday at the home. The family requests no flowers.
