Our loving husband, father and grandfather passed away January 11, 2013, at home, surrounded by family.

Floyd was born August 18, 1923 in Randolph, UT to Taylor and Abbie Hatch Bond. Floyd attended Utah State University and then moved to Madera, CA, where he, with an uncle, partnered on a dairy farm until he joined the Navy, serving during World War II, and was later recalled during the Korean Conflict. Floyd met his sweetheart, Elizabeth (Beth) Olpin, in San Diego and they were married for 66 short years. They raised four children, Stephen (Peggy) Bond, Nola Joey (Loren) Adams, Marsha Bond and Warren Bond. Floyd had a 41 year career in printing employed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Printing Division, first at Zion's Publishing & Printing in Independence, Missouri, and in Salt Lake City where it was also known as Deseret News Press and Deseret Press. Floyd was a humble, peaceable man who had a kind sense of humor. He loved sports (especially basketball and golf) and gardening. Floyd and Beth enjoyed 18 years of snow birding between SLC and Yuma, AZ. Floyd's greatest joys were his family, and his faith in the gospel. He had many church callings throughout his life including Stake Seventy President, Ward Bishopric and a temple worker at the Jordan River Temple. After retiring Floyd and Beth served an 18 month mission in Roseville, CA.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife; his four children and his brother Don Telford (Naomi). He had 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 18, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the Hunter Stake Center, 3737 S. 5600 W, WVC, UT.
