Mrs. Catharine Bergin, aged 65, died at her home near Effingham yesterday at 6:30 a. m. of Bright's disease of the kidneys, and will be buried from the Effingham Catholic church Saturday at 10 a. m. Mrs. Bergin had lived in Atchison county twenty-six years. Her husband died March 29, last. She was the mother of six children, all boys, viz.: Wm. Bergin, an engineer on the Missouri Pacific; John Bergin, engaged in the grocery trade in Pueblo; Richard Bergin, an engineer on the Santa Fe; Daniel and James Bergin who lived with their mother on the farm; and Charles Bergin, a fireman on the Missouri Pacific from Kansas City.
