He was born January 30, 1929 in Jewell, IA to Russell and Beatrice (Olson) Peterson.
Leslie grew up in Iowa and graduated from Jewell, High School.
He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
He owned Mile High Statuary and worked for a taxidermist in Billings producing molds they used.
He enjoyed the Denver Broncos.
He is survived by sisters, Marilyn Jean Johnson of Longmont, CO, LaVon Carolyn (Garry) Jessen of Macomb, IL; and nieces, Vicky Hatcher of Platteville, and Lisa Jessen of Macomb.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew Todd Jessen.
