KNIGHT, AMANDA VICTORIA, age 98, of Bessemer, died Sunday, April 27, 1997. She was a homemaker, and a member of Westside Baptist Church for 58 years, where she was active in the Senior Citizen group. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at 1:30 p.m., at Brown Service Chapel, Bessemer, with burial at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by husband, William Lee Knight, and son, Ted Knight. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Minnie Kay Bailey and husband Jake of Bessemer, Mrs. Fannie Reynolds and husband Gordon B. of Hueytown, Mrs. Mary Mordecai of Bessemer; son, Mr. Willard Knight of Hueytown; sister, Mrs. Lydia Mae Butterworth of Georgia; Mr. Judd Abernathy of Georgia; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Brown Service Funeral Home, Bessemer directing.
