John Brady jr. was the 4th child born to Capt. John Brady and Mary Quigley Brady at Shippensburg, Cumberland Co.,PA. On Jan 26,1785 he married Jane McCall. He fought at the Battle of Brandywine and was wounded slightly, and sent home to help his mother tend the farm and the younger children. He served as Sheriff of Northumberland Co. after the elections of 1794. His wife and two daughters, Jane Brady Stoughton and Nancy Brady Eckert are also buried at Lewisburg.
