Funeral services were held for Denise Havard Cook, 51, of Lucedale, on December 4, 2006, at 10 a.m. at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church.
Interment followed in the Canaan Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, with Donel Minyard, Jeff Bass and Donald Sims officiating.
A dispatcher for the City of Lucedale and a member of the Baptist faith, she died December 1, 2006.
She is survived by her husband, Perry Wayne Cook; son, Dennis D. (Stacy) Showles, two step daughters, Michelle (Ray) Pecue of Mobile, Ala.,a nd Mary (Tony) Havard of Lucedale, step son Clent Cook of Greenville, Miss.; 11 grandchildren, mother, Dorothy (James) Bass, brother, Ralph (Lynn) Havard, Jr. of Phenix City, Ala., and a host of nieces, nephews and grant nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, W. R. "Little Bill" Havard.
Pallbearers were Dalton Havard, Justin Havard, Scottie Havard, Ronnie Havard, Dennis Showles, Chris Hilbun and Billy Colburn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial Fund at Century Bank for her grandchildren.
