He was born in Galicia in what is now known as Poland

Stanley Adams, 84, of 7012 Manlius Center Rd., died April 27 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Poland and had lived in Syracuse all his life.

Mr. Adams worked for the New York Central Railroad for more than 40 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen.

He was a member of St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Church.

Surviving are his wive, Mary Piston Adams; two sons, John E. Adams and William A. Adams; two daughters, Mrs. Helen F. Noto and Mrs. Dorothy J. D'Agostino of Kirkville, 1 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Burial was in St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Cemetery.
