Edna Scates Franklin age 90, of Waynesville, NC passed away on January 11, 2013. She was born in Haywood County to the late John and Maude Singleton Scates. Edna enjoyed reading, genealogy, music, and studying the history of England. She was also known as being very artistic.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, William Roy Franklin. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, two grandsons, one granddaughter and one sister.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Garrett Funerals and Cremations. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hazelwood Baptist Church General Fund at 265 Hazelwood Ave. Waynesville, NC 28786.
