Because of an illness, the past six years she lived in the Spokane area, most recently at Sullivan Park Nursing Home in the Spokane Valley, where she resided until her death.
She is survived by her parents, Emery and Lois LaShaw, brothers Duane (Sylvia) LaShaw, Dick (Patti) LaShaw, numerous nieces and nephew. Bonnie is also survived by her daughter, Teresa Faulkner, Seattle, as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Bonita Ballard, Marysville, has been a lifelong friend of Bonnie's.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Newton, and son Brian Comer.
A special thank you to the staff at North Central Care Center and Sullivan Park Nursing Home for their excellent care and compassion for Bonnie. There will be a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Rockford, Washington in the Spring, to be announced at a later date.
