Amherst- Cornelius A, (Chick) Lauer of 5420 Broadway, Lorain, died at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant View Sanatorium, Amherst. He had been a patient there for four years.
Mr. Lauer was born in Cleveland January 3, 1889 and had resided for 60 years in Amherst and vicinity. He was formerly employed as a machinist for 25 years at the National Tube Company and attended Amherst Congregational church. He was a past president of Amherst Eagles Aerie No. 1442.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ray Clotz and one son Robert, both of Amherst and four grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Emmerich Funeral Home where services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. and the Rev. Daniel E. Buser, pastor of Amherst Four square church, officiating. burial will be made in Crown Hill cemetery.
