He was born on December 1, 1925 in Whiting, IN to Charles and Lillian (Boi) Brown, who preceded him in death. Richard worked as a supervisor for BP Amoco for 42 years. He enjoyed spending time fishing, gardening, and golfing, but above all, watching his granddaughters play sports and the cello.
Richard is survived by beloved wife of 64 years, Pauline Brown of Valparaiso; son, Timothy (Sophie) Brown of Valparaiso; two granddaughters: Camille and Yasmin Brown; (nephew) adopted son, Michael Hardison of Arkansas; sister, Bonnie Perez of Whiting; sisters-in-law: Frances Hardison of Madisonville, KY and Helen Dolato of Madisonville, KY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 14, 2012 at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel 6941 Central Avenue Portage, IN with Pastor Deb Rousselle officiating.
Interment to follow at Chesterton Cemetery.
