Barbara J. (Perry) Jayne, 73, went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital, Indianapolis, after a brief illness.

She was born April 30, 1931, in Anderson, and lived in this area all of her life. She was a secretary for several area nursing homes.

She attended schools in Anderson.

She was a member of Linwood Christian Church, Senior Citizens Euchre Club and the Anderson Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post 266.

She is survived by her three children, Daniel and wife Kathy Jayne of Anderson, Belinda and husband Wayne Wigner of Anderson, and Michael Jayne and fiancee April Anderson of Pendleton; two brothers, Marion Perry of Anderson and Robert and wife Jean Perry of Anderson; a sister, Betty Hilligoss of Markleville; seven grandchildren, Tracy Prochnow, Christopher Davis, Mark Jayne, Michelle Jayne, Dustin Jayne, Christopher Jayne and Kimberly Jayne; and a great-granddaughter, Brittany Brown.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Paul Jayne; parents, Verlie and Katherine (Beck) Perry; and a son, Paul Jayne Jr.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with Pastor John Ray officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the South Chapel.
