Funeral for Ronnie L. Freeman, 51, of Russellville, will be January 15, 2013, at 1p.m., at Town Creek No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church in Landersville with Jackson Memory Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in the Landersville Cemetery. He will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral. Public viewing will be January 13, 2013, from noon to 5 p.m., and January 14, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Freeman died January 10, 2013.

Ronnie Lamar Freeman

Ronnie Lamar Freeman was the fourth child born to the union of the late Warnie Freeman Sr. and the late Rosie Mae Suggs Freeman on May 20, 1961 in Franklin County. He was affectionately called "Bruno".

He attended Moulton and Mt. Hope Elementary schools, Moulton High School and he graduated from Russellville High School. He played football in Jr. High school and he had a great love for sports.

He loved people, especially the elderly. Ronnie was known for his laughter and big smile. His story telling of childhood and other past events made him a joy to be around. He often brought family gatherings to life.

Ronnie confessed Christ at an early age and joined Town Creek No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church. When he was unable to attend his home church, he would attend Antioch Methodist Church regularly, which was near his home.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Warnie and Rosie Mae Freeman, his grandparents; Ellis & Hattie Mae Suggs and Earnest & Eunice Freeman.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons; Kendrick Lamar Freeman of Courtland, AL and Reginald Nance of Rogersville, AL, a step-mother; Hattie Freeman of Russellville, AL, one sister; Patricia Shaclelford (Fredrick) of Decatur, AL, four brothers; Warnie Freeman Jr. (Loretta) of Warren, MI, Billy Ray Freeman of Decatur, AL, Eulis Freeman (Trena) of Eastpointe, MI and Gregory Freeman of Moulton, AL, one step brother; John D. Graham of Russellville, AL, one brother-n-law; Frederick Shackelford of Decatur, AL, a devoted friend; Laryssa Miller of Russellville, AL, two uncles; J.P. Suggs (Lonnie) of Lima, OH and Charlie Suggs (Geadie) of Moulton, AL, three aunts; Elizabeth Cowan of Lima, OH, Geadie Suggs of Moulton, AL and Nadine Young of Moulton, Al, a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and friends.
