Victor "Ted" Shaw, 86, of Gap, passed away on Friday, January 11th at the Essa Flory Hospice Center, under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County.

He was the beloved husband he shared 57 years of marriage.

He was born in Philadelphia to the late Thomas and Anna Shaw.

He was a 1944 graduate of the John Bartram High School and a 1949 graduate of the Ornstein School of Music.

Mr. Shaw served honorably in the US Navy during W.W.II.

Mr. Shaw was a saxophonist in the big bands; he then became the owner and operator of the Parkesburg Arms from 1952 until 1974; after The Arms, he worked at Diversified Printing for 15 years and then at Dutch Way Farm Market for 14 years.

Mr. Shaw is survived, in addition to his wife, by his son of Quarryville; and one grandson.

He was predeceased by his sister Anna Fuces.

The Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the Shaw family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Shaw's memory to either the Parkesburg United Methodist Church, 411 Main Street Parkesburg, PA or to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA
