May 2, 1929 - Jan 11, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Katherine Marjorie Pope was called home to the Lord on Jan. 11, 2013. She was born May 2, 1929, in Cushing, OK, the daughter of Arthur and Elsie Schnack. She grew up in Cushing and moved to Tulsa, OK after graduating from Cushing High School. She married Joseph E. "Joe" Peters in 1956 and settled in Richardson, TX in 1963, where she raised three children. In 1982, she married William A. "Bill" Pope and moved to the Oklahoma City area, where she lived the remainder of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Pope, in 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Harris; sons, Wesley Peters and David Peters; stepdaughter, Carol Pope; brothers, Paul Schnack and Harold Schnack; sister, Arlene Schnack; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation is Monday, Jan. 14, 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany. The funeral service will be held at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Bethany on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Cushing, OK.
