Glen Edison Conley, age 75, a resident of State Road in Salyersville, Ky., passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Conley was born October 31, 1937, in Conley, Ky., the son of the late Otis and Necie Whitt Conley.

Also proceeding in death are sisters, Wilma Colvin, Darlene Conley, Debra Conley, and brothers, Alvin Conley, Buford Conley.

Mr. Conley was one of the former owners of Prater & Dunn Funeral Home, retired from the Salyersville Funeral Home, and served as Magoffin County Coroner for two terms. He served his country in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged. Mr. Conley was a member of the Salyersville Kiwanis Club, Salyersville Masonic Lodge #769 F&AM, and Magoffin County Chapter 15 DAV.

Those left to mourn includes wife, Jolene Conley of Salyersville, Ky., daughter, Cassaundra "Shawn" Stacy and husband Greg of Frankfort, Ky., grandson, Benjamin Stacy of Frankfort, Ky., sisters, Zelma Wheeler of Salyersville, Ky., Judy Borders of Talladega, OH., Pamela Conley of Salyersville, Ky., and brother, James Conley of London, OH., also a host of family and friends

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from the Salyersville First Baptist Church in Salyersville, Ky., Clergy Michael Hornback and Floyd Arnett will deliver comforting words on the day of the service. Burial will follow the service at Highland Memorial Park in Staffordsville, Kentucky.

The family will welcome friends Monday, January 14,2013, after 5:00 PM and anytime prior to funeral services. Masonic Rites will be conducted Monday at 7:00 PM from the Chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. The Magoffin County Chapter 15 DAV will give military Rites on the day of service.
