Mrs. Myrtle Furlow Abbott, 80, of Indianola, died Wednesday, October 25, 1995 at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood. Mrs. Abbott, a native of Reves, La had lived in Indianola 40 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Bennett E. Abbott of Indianola; daughters: Elizabeth Abbott Klutts of Lebanon, Ohio and Patricia Abbott Ellis of Indianola; son, Douglas Lee Abbott of Indianola; brothers: Vernon Furlow of Pearl and Austin Furlow of Florence; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Services were Friday, October 27 at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Rob Boyd officiating and burial at Indianola City Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Glen Holloway, Matthew Reed, Chuck Ellis, Doug Abbott, Mike Utroska, Chris Smith. Card Funeral Home of Indianola was in charge of arrangements.
