MT. PULASKI - Vivian M. Armstrong, 93, of Mt. Pulaski, Ill., passed away at 9:17 p.m., Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Vonderlieth Living Center, in Mt. Pulaski.
Vivian was born on Oct. 13, 1919, in rural Maroa, Ill., to Ernest and Clara Meyers Byrne. She married Kenneth "Smokey" Ingram, then later married Glenard Armstrong. He preceded her in death.
She worked as a waitress and as a janitor at Illinois State University in Bloomington, Ill. and was a member of the Eastview Christian Church, in Bloomington.
Surviving her are two daughters, Patsy Garlits and Linda Kischke; one brother, Gene (Lois) Byrne; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vivian Sue.
Services for Vivian will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski with Mark Weber officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Kenney, Ill.
Memorials may be made to the Indiana Down Syndrome Foundation or the Boys and Girls Club of Crawfordsville, Ind.
