PETER W. BOTHEL
Peter W. Bothel, 85, a retired cabinetmaker, died Friday in a local hospital after a long illness. He made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Hilding Berg, 255 Ocean Rd., Cape Elizabeth.
Mr. Bothel was born in Denmark, Europe, Sept. 4, 1870, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bothel. He had lived here about 50 years. He worked in Portland for the New England Cabinet Works. After his retirement, he farmed for several years.
Mr. Bothel leaves five other children, Mrs. Philip Cash Sr., Herman E. F. Bothel, H. Walter Bothel and Mrs. Howard Foss, all of Cape Elizabeth, and Mrs. Elmer Hansen of Allentown, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Kirkholm and Mrs. Thora Hansen, Denmark; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Wallace H. Harris at 230 Cottage Rd., South Portland, at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Cape Elizabeth.
