ANSONIA — Marion G. McGuire, 92, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Jan. 11, 2013, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Jeremiah G. McGuire.

Mrs. McGuire was born in Derby on April 19, 1920, daughter of the late William and Florence Lintzner Eaton. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was devoted to her loving family. She was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia, enjoyed playing cards and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees.

She is survived by two sons, James W. McGuire (Marietta) of Derby and Jeremiah McGuire (Joann) of Watertown; a daughter, Barbara J. Zenowich (Robert S.) of Bethany; a brother, William L. Eaton (Barbara) of Derby; four cherished grandchildren, Jeremiah R. McGuire (Tracy) of Oxford, James J. McGuire (Michele) of Stratford, Jennifer A. Sandberg (Ryan) of Beacon Falls and Stacey J. Zenowich of Bethany; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Jeanne Burns.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of the Spinelli-Ricciuti Funeral Home, 62 Beaver St., Ansonia. On Tuesday, friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter's Garden Mausoleum in Derby.
