Abigail Jaques (Jaquish), born in either 1702/3, was the daughter of Daniel Jaques (b. Feb. 26, 1666/7 at Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts) and Susannah Mary Williams. They married March 20, 1692/3 at Newbury (Susannah was born April 11, 1672, and died March Sept. 22, 1725 at Newbury).

Abigail married Benjamin Allen Oct. 23, 1718 at Bradford, Essex, Massachsett (he was born 1694 possibly at Suffield Mass./ Conn.). They had five children before she became a widow. She married a second time to Nathaniel Harmon, Sept. 14, 1745 at Suffield, Massachusetts (now Suffield, Connecticut.)

Nathaniel Harmon had a previous marriage to Esther Austin, daughter of Anthony Austin and Esther (Huggins). She was a sister of Richard Austin (20 years years younger than he). It was apparently through this connection that Abigail's daughter Abigail Allen married Joseph Austin, Richard's son. This is a bit confusing, so in other words, the daughter of Abigail Jacques Allen married the niece of her 2nd husband's first wife.

To add to the family connections, Abigail's son Ebenezer Allen married July 26, 1750 to Miriam Harmon at Suffield, Ct. She was the niece of his step-father Nathaniel Harmon.

Children of 1st marriage for Abigail Jacques and Benjamin Allen:

- Abigail Allen (b. Dec. 6, 1719, Suffield Mass. - now Connecticut - married Joseph Austin - see link below);
- Ebenezer Allen (b. March 15, 1722/23, Suffield; d. Dec. 19, 1785, Suffield, age 62 yrs);
- Susanna Allen (b. March 16, 1726/7);
- Jaquish Allen (b. May 20, 1729, d. June 11 the same year);
- Reuben Allen (b. Sept. 22, 1734)

Undoubtedly Abigail was interred in Suffield, but the site of her grave is thus far uncertain.
