Mr. Clyde W. "Papa Clyde" Russell, age 65, a resident of Midtown, Harriman, TN passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 24, 1947 in Midtown in Roane County, TN to Albert Benjamin Franklin Russell and Bertha Marie Davis Russell. Mr. Russell was a Master Carpenter and former member of Carpenters Union Local #50 in Knoxville, TN He was also a member of the Westel Baptist Church in Rockwood, TN; a member of Union Masonic Lodge #38 in Kingston, TN; a member of the Scottish Rite; and was a Shriner with the Kerbela Shrine Temple in Knoxville, TN. Mr. Russell was also a retired member of the Midtown Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Rev. Mike Higgins officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Piney Grove Cemetery in Midtown, TN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Westel Baptist Church.
