Argyle- Martin Flannery, 81, died last evening at his home in Jordan township. He had been ailing, six months from complications. Born in Rock county, March 4, 1866, he was the son of James and Mary Murry Flannery. He was married Jan. 24, 1894 in Monroe to Daisy Schultz. They always farmed in the vicinity of Woodford and Jordan.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis and Floyd, Jordan township; a daughter, Mrs. Richard McGrath, Jordan township; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a son in infancy.
Rev. Joseph Willitzer, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic church of which Mr. Flannery was a member, will officiate at funeral services, 9:30 Monday morning in the Flannery home and at 10 o'clock in St. Joseph's church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, Argyle.
