Peter Collins, a farmer of Lafayette Co., married 12 Oct 1898 to Miss Genin. They had a daughter, Mrs. William Carroll and a son, Eugene Collins, both of Rt. 4, Janesville and a son, William Collins of Altadena, California and two sisters, Mrs. Mary J. Lancaster and Barbara Collins, both of Woodford, WI. A brother, Henry Collins of McAllen, TX. Preceded in death was a son, Merlin, in 1903 and his wife, in 1936.

Peter Collins, 78, of route 4, a former member of the Rock county board of supervisors, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday in Mercy hospital after a month's illness.
A retired farmer, Mr. Collins was formerly chairman of the town board of Center and in the capacity served as supervisor on the county board from 1932 to 1943.
He was born in Wiota township, Lafayette county, Sept. 11, 1872, and was married to Adele Genin of Belmont, Oct. 12, 1898. Mrs. Collins died in 1936.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William Carroll, route 4; two sons, Eugene of route 4 and William, of Altadena, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary J. Lancaster and Barbara Collins, both of Woodford; one brother, Henry Collins, McAllen, Tex.; and 14 grandchildren. A son, Melvin, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Reining funeral home, the Rev. Charles Swanson, South Wayne, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Argyle. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday evening.
