James Henry "Jim" Cosman Sr was born on February 19, 1943 in Brockport, Monroe County, New York, the son of Ward E Cosman (1917–1982) and Betty B ( -- ) Cosman (1916–1985).

Jim was married on November 28, 1964 to Sandee -- .

An outfielder for the Pittsburg Pirates and later a pitcher with the Saint Louis Cardinals, after he retired from professional baseball, he worked in Solid Waste Management before a final retirement in 2000.

Generous to a fault, Jim was passionate about people and was always telling them to "Keep Smiling" and "Doing Things Better."

Living in Roswell, Fulton County, Georgia, he was 69 years old when he died at home on January 7, 2013.

He was survived by his widow, three sons and two daughters-in-law, a married daughter, eighteen grandchildren, a married sister and an aunt.

A Memorial Service was held on January 19th at Christ Church of Grove Farm in, Sewickey, Pennsylvania, and Graveside Services were on January 20th in Parma Union Cemetery, Hilton, New York.
