Mrs. Fred DuBois Sr., Dies, Mother of Ulster Treasurer.
Mrs. Fred DuBois Sr., 84, DuBois Road, New Paltz, died yesterday at her home. She was the wife of the late Mr. DuBois and the mother of Fred DuBois Jr., Ulster County treasurer.
Mrs. Dubois was the former Anna Frances Buchanan, daughter of the late Adam and Rachel Ward Buchanan. She was born March 5, 1880, in Little Britain.
A New Paltz resident for the last 60 years, Mrs. DuBois was a member of the Executive Board of the Ulster County Extension Service Association; the Huguenot Grange and the New Paltz Reformed Church and its Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by three other sons, Harold and Gerald, New Paltz, and Clarence, Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Irwin, Greene; a brother, Ellsworth Buchanan, Newburgh; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pine Funeral Home Inc. New Paltz. The Rev. Garret J. Wullschleger, pastor of the New Paltz Reformed Church, will officiate. Interment will be in New Paltz Rural Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
