Leah Adele (Huffman) Taylor, 55, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013, at home surrounded by her loved ones after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born in Grants Pass, Ore. April 10, 1957. She was living in Medford at the time of her death.

Leah grew up in Gold Hill, Ore. and graduated from Crater High School in 1975 with honors. She worked alongside Ben, her husband of 35 years, in the forestry industry before gaining her degree as a registered nurse in 1998, also with honors. Her most recent position was as Director of Nursing at Interventional Pain Consultants, LLC working with Dr. Sean Sills. She was determined and worked very hard at everything she did, but she was also a very caring and compassionate person, always helping someone in some way. The world is a better place for those of us who had her in their life.

She is survived by her husband, Ben Taylor; parents, Cliff Huffman and Donna Thacker; sister and husband, Elaine and Rick Coimbra; sister-in-law, Donita Taylor; stepson, Jerome Taylor; grandchildren, Logan and Kiara Taylor; niece and husband, Tracy and Rob Livingston; uncle and wife, Del and Bonnie Bouslaugh; and many loving cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Loree Taylor; sister, Vicky Richardson; parents-in-law, Harry Taylor and Donna Jean Taylor; grandparents, Arlo (Skinny) and Alice Bouslaugh and Ralph and Elfrida Huffman; grandmother-in-law, Hazel Floyd; brother-in-law, David Taylor; and nephew, Brandon Haight.
