Mrs. Comer farmed with her husband until retiring in 1985.
She was a former member of Mount Gilboa United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the women's missionary group and taught Sunday school. She was also a Gold Lady at the Logansport Mental Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and exercising.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Lana Carol Parnell (husband: Thomas C.) of Atkinson, NH, and Linda Louise Stepp (husband: Randall) of Jasper, GA; a brother, Arnold L. Abbott (wife: Mary Helen) of Delphi; and two sisters, Geneva Dowell of Tennessee and Jackie Stiver (husband: Phil) of Elkhart.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to 1 PM service Wednesday at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, the Rev. David J. Smitley officiating; interment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
