Margetta Blanch Newton Stafford, 87, was born Dececember 9, 1925, in Chico, Texas; one of eight children born to Allen and Lela Newton. She died on January, 8th 2013 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Margetta and her husband Durwood Stafford were long time residents of Roosevelt until the death of Durwood in 2006. They were both members of the Roosevelt Church of Christ. Margetta was survived by her children, Sharilyn Dianne Stafford Yandell and husband Bruce of Meridian, Oklahoma, Edwin Dewayne Stafford and wife Kathie of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Rendell Arnold Stafford and wife Revis of Oklahoma City; seven Grandchildren, Wesley Yandell, Devin Yandell, Anthony Yandell, Tia Stafford Dugan, Tiffany Stafford Robles, Elizabeth Stafford Shelton, and Ryan Paul Stafford and eight great-grandchildren. She was also survived by sister, Christine Newton Davis of Paducah, Kentuchy; brother, Lloyd Newton of Hereford, Texas and Robert Newton of Decatur, Texas.
