Thomas Melvin Vickers, 89, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Vickers was born March 14, 1924 in Ambrose, GA to the late Thomas Vickers and Louise Carter Vickers.
Survivors include his wife Rita Thurman Vickers, Ambrose, GA, three sons Wayne (Cathy) Vickers, Ambrose, GA, Van (Jacqueline) Vickers, Douglas GA, and Craig (Janet) Vickers, Ambrose, GA, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one sister Tommie Harper, Holt, GA.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Carroll Carver officiating. Interment followed in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
