The cause of her sudden death being apoplexy. She leaves to mourn her going her husband, three sons, six daughters, three stepsons, three brothers, Henry, Jacob, and George Bauer, one sister, Mrs. Paul Herbst, and a half-sister, Mrs. John Fahrenbruch, and seven grandchildren. Her father, the well remembered and highly esteemed "Father Bauer" preceded her to the Great Beyond last January and her mother, eight years ago.
In 1886 she came with her parents to America and in 188? was joined in wedlock with her now bereaved husband, John Lenhart. In her youth she received an excellent home and Christian training which training she successfully applied to her family. She was a model wife, mother, neighbor, and citizen. She was a sincere Christian, possessing those virtues which made her so beloved. Although the end came unexpectedly, yet she was ready to meet her Creator. Her age being fifty-six years.
The funeral exercises were conducted in the Evangelical church by Rev. E.F. Haist. The building proved to be by far too small to accommodate the many friends who had come to pay her their last tribute of love and respects.
The Progress joins in with the host of friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved family in this their sad hour and greatest loss -- a mother.
